Charon Conversion System Inventory
To accurately determine the scope of work for converting your legacy systems to Charon emulation, we need you to provide us with information about the configuration and usage of the systems and your goals going forward.
To assist you in gathering the necessary information, we have prepared command scripts to display system configuration details and forms for recording the information. These files may be downloaded below.
Where both PDF and MS Word format documents are available the documents are identical. You may use whichever format is most convenient for you.

System Inventory Information and Downloads
The VAX system inventory document is available in PDF and Microsoft Word (.docx) formats. Please download one of these files and provide the requested information. The file contains a series of command to obtain configuration information on OpenVMS and Digital UNIX systems.
The Alpha system inventory document is available in PDF and Microsoft Word (.docx) formats. Please download one of these files and provide the requested information. The file contains a series of command to obtain configuration information on OpenVMS and Tru64 UNIX systems.
The SPARC system inventory document is available in PDF and Microsoft Word (.docx) formats. Please download one of these files and provide the requested information.
The script file contains a series of command that will write system configuration information into a temporary file (/tmp/sysinfo-{hostname}.out[.Z]). Please copy this file and submit it to us along with the completed system inventory sheet. Details of how to execute the shell script are provided in the header of the script file.
The HP3000 system inventory document is available in PDF and Microsoft Word (.docx) formats. Please download one of these files and provide the requested information.
The third download is a text file containing a series of shell command that display system configuration information. These commands may be executed manually or placed in a shell script and executed.
The output from the command execution is captured in two files ('charon' and 'charon2') in the current working directory. Please copy these file and submit them to us along with the completed system inventory sheet. The files may be deleted from the HP3000 system after they are saved.
